Welcome back to our weekly look at the top games and NFT collections of the past week. And while web3 gaming continues to remain strong, many of our top NFT collections have seen steady drops in trading volume over the past few weeks.
A couple of big news items in crypto land recently as Curve Finance was hit by a major hack, and Richard Heart, founder of the infamous HEX token, was named in an SEC lawsuit.
Some big new in web3 games as well! Planet Mojo has partnered with Amazon Prime to offer free Mojo Melee NFTs to all Prime users, and Animoca Brands announced a new game called Wreck League, that will feature a special collaboration with Yuga Labs!
And though the ‘bluechip’ NFTs, the ones that cost many thousands of dollars each, seem to be on the decline, NFTs in general are starting to spread their wings to other ventures, such as Dan Harmon’s new animated series, Kraptopolis!
In other news we have an alpha for a new MMO called Metacene, a play to earn event from Life Beyond, Season 0 for Hunters On-Chain, and the first play to mint even from Fableborne!
And at this point, there are always ongoing alphas and betas for a variety of web3 games!
Read on for a look at the most active web3 games and NFT projects for the week. And be sure to keep an eye on our website and Twitter feed for the latest developments in the web3 gaming space!

Splinterlands, on the other hand, did not fare so well, losing over half of their active players. Perhaps a delayed response to the banning of bots in their Modern format?
Otherwise, web3 gaming continues to grow and expand, though we still have the usual suspects vying for spots on our top 10 chart this week.

Things continue to cool off for the high priced NFT collections, with many of these ‘bluechip’ NFTs seeing double digit drops in trading volume. We’ll see if the recent announcement from Animoca Brands about a game collaboration with Yuga Labs brings any renewed interest to the Yuga collections next week.
Even the merchandising efforts from Pudgy Penguins couldn’t shield them from a 16% loss in trading volume this week. The boost for CryptoPunks comes largely on the back of a $1 million dollar sale for a rare Punk with no attributes!
