top play-to-earn games

The spookiness may be amping up in your neighborhood, but there’s nothing spooky about the amount of activity in the web3 scene! Let’s take a look at some of the top web3 games and NFT collections from this past week!

New expansions, new playtests, and the beginning of the Halloween events dominate the web3 gaming news this cycle. We have three upcoming expansions from some of the biggest web3 TCG games. We already talked about the Tides of Fate expansion for Gods Unchained, set to arrive later this year. But we also have a currently active, ongoing pre-sale for Rebellion, the next expansion from Splinterlands, and towards the end of October, the release of Planetfall, a new expansion for Parallel!

Other upcoming events include a Holders playtest for Fableborne, a large-scale play to earn event in The Sandbox called the Dr Bomkus Trials, and a special pumpkin hunting event in Boss Fighters happening this weekend and next!

Read on for a look at the most active web3 games and NFT projects for the week. And be sure to keep an eye on our website and Twitter feed for the latest developments in the web3 gaming space!

Sweat Economy takes the top spot in our web3 game charts of most active users this week, spurred on by their recent release on Android devices. And while the walk to earn gaming category continues to grow, it seems that Sweat Economy is the one to beat. And, it also seems likely that a large part of their success stemmed from having an established, existing userbase before opening up their web3 version!

Splinterlands surges back into the charts with a 50% increase in players. Though one has to wonder if those players are here to stay, or this was just a temporary increase related to the pre-sale for the Rebellion expansion?

Apes still on top this week, and mostly the usual faces on the charts.

With an expansion of their own coming up soon, it will be interesting to see if the Gods Unchained trading volume will see an additional boost. Even without that expansion they’re still showing very strong numbers every week for trading volume.

As expected, the CrypToadz fall off the charts after that one, extremely over-valued purchase last week. However, our other new entry, Winds of Yawanawa is having an even better week than last And it’s certainly cool to see this level of interest from a project that combines traditional artists with the digital NFT space!
