Purchase Extraction Packs for Shrapnel Early Access

Shrapnel Extraction pack banner

Shrapnel is currently holding a sale for Extraction packs, which include inside of them Operators, Gear packs, early access, airdrops, and more! Prices for these Extraction Packs range from $20 to $100 and they will only be available for a limited time.

Extraction Packs come in three sizes – Light, Medium, and Heavy. Each Pack size offers early game access, and in-game Operator to play with, Gear packs, Consumable packs, and future airdrops. Medium and Heavy Packs also come with exclusive skins, and the Heavy includes a giftable Light Extraction pack!

In addition, anyone who held an Operator NFT and linked their wallet to the Shrapnel website before October 15th should have been airdropped a Heavy Extraction Pack into their Shrapnel account.

Users may only own one of each Extraction Pack type. However, they can receive all the rewards for each of the Pack tiers. Extraction Packs cannot be opened yet and gift codes are also not yet available. These features should arrive as we get closer to the first early access playtest later this year.

Supposedly the Extraction Packs are ‘limited availability’, but whether that means limited in number, or limited in time available (or both), is unclear.

Early access to Shrapnel is expected to begin at the end of this year (2023), with servers only open for specific timeslots. The team will slowly ramp up the releases as they see how the early access goes, with a goal of having an always-on server up and running by April of 2024. Players will be able to earn rewards during these early access playtests.

What is Shrapnel?

Shrapnel is a mission-based, first person shooter where players join the warzone as operators for one of several teams entrusted with collecting and extracting valuable resources. But other operators are competing for the same resources, creating a high-stakes atmosphere that encourages risk-taking and rewards player skill.

Players equip their operators with the appropriate gear that suits their playstyle. Equipment (in the form of NFTs) is dropped when a player dies and can be looted by other players. In addition, players can gather the mysterious Compound Sigma. They must then fight their way to one of extraction spots and survive long enough to escape and claim their loot!

Shrapnel is built around player created content. This takes the form of tournaments, as well as player crafted NFTs. Players can even design their own unique vanity items to sell to other players! They will have land ownership and want to expand creation opportunities to player created maps and map items as well! Shrapnel has its own token, SHRAP. Players will be able to stake SHRAP to maps they like, sharing in the rewards from games played on that map. Meanwhile, unpopular maps will find themselves pushed down to lower reward tiers. This encourages creators to refine and improve their work in order to remain popular.

Shrapnel also plans to build a community hub, DAO governance, and a reputation system! Operators the main NFTs for the game, are currently available on the secondary markets.
