New Race Car NFTs for Upcoming REVV Racing Game

New REVV race game Animoca Brands

Animoca Brands has given us a first look at the new NFTs for an unannounced blockchain racing game, that they will airdrop to players of F1 Delta Time. Anyone who participated in the  Grand Prix Mode or Time Trial Mode between June 7th and June 13th, 2021, will be eligible for the airdrop. Gamers can use these race car NFTs in a upcoming racing game in the REVV motorsport ecosystem.

These new NFTs for the blockchain racing game will be minted on the Polygon network and sent to the same address that players used to participate in the F1 Delta Time gameplay. You can access the Polygon network (formerly known as Matic) using the Metamask browser plugin or mobile app. Click this link for instructions on how to add the Polygon network to your Metamask wallet.

These special NFTS will include the metadata ‘Competitor’. Any future releases will include different metadata that will be unique for each giveaway, marking each release set and potentially providing additional, future value.

Players will use these vehicle NFTs in an unnamed racing game that they describe as providing ‘a full arcade-simulation gameplay experience’. The game will also run on the Polygon network. These car rewards are level 1 NFTs, but players can improve them using an upgrade system. The cars are all you will need for the new game. Players won’t need car parts or driver NFTs, like they do in F1 Delta Time. Animoca hasn’t announced further details, but they’ve planned a public beta this summer.

For those who are missing out on this airdrop, fear not! There will be additional events and competitions with more chances to win these NFT vehicles. Holders of other REVV products, such as MotoGP Ignition pack buyers and NinjaSticker collectors, can earn the new NFTs in yet unannounced earn events.

What is F1 Delta Time?

In F1 Delta Time game players can collect virtual cars, drivers and car parts. Each of these parts is an unique non-fungible token. Gamers can collect, trade, use or sell them on the open marketplace. Some of the very rare vehicles have sold for thousands dollars. Animoca Brands already made millions of dollars through a variety of auctions and NFT sales.

Gamers have competitive racing as the core element in F1 Delta Time. Each car has characteristics unique to the vehicle. Acceleration, grip, top speed, and luck are the elements that will influence the car’s performance. Currently the races are shown top-down and feature limited gameplay options.

What is REVV Motorsport?

The REVV Motorsport ecosystem is a series on blockchain-based racing games published by Animoca Brands. These games all use the native REVV token, which they can earn through gameplay participation. They can then use the token to purchase NFTs for the games or pay entry fees for the races.

Players for example need to pay an entry fee to join in F1 Delta Time’s game modes. In addition they can stake the token and earn in-game assets that way, while NFT owners can also stake their assets. This will earn them REVV.

The ecosystem supports games on Polygon, Ethereum and supposedly – even though we don’t know how – Flow. Right now F1 Delta Time, MotoGP Ignition, Formula E, Night Driver, Fatal Run and the unannounced game are confirmed as part of the REVV ecosystem.
