Big Time gears up to head into their preseason launch with a number of new features they plan to introduce at the same time! With new adventures, new craftable items, and even a rental system, this preseason launch for Big Time could propel their MMO to the next level!

Big Time has already been running an alpha for some time now, allowing players with access the chance to gather loot, level-up, and decorate their spaces. Now they prepare to move into what they label the ‘preseason’, with a number of new updates and features.

Players will be able to open Mystery Boxes, craft weapons and armor cosmetics from the most common to ultra-rare unique items, invite friends, earn BIGTIME tokens, and more!

Players will be make use of their Forges, Workshops, and Time Wardens for crafting. Crafting weapons will require BIGTIME tokens, which players can generate using Hourglasses crafted by Time Wardens. Big Time preseason launch will also see the addition of a number of new cosmetic sets, some craftable, some not. And to add a little extra fun to crafting, players will have a chance to roll for bonuses when creating items.

We will also see the addition of renting and prestige portals. Players will be able to rent workshops and Spaces from other players. Meanwhile, those looking for a challenge can enter Prestige Portals to complete challenges and defeat bosses for valuable rewards.

It seems like the preseason may be the beginnings of the final economy. Previously, Big Time has had player and data wipes as they fix and rebalance the game. But perhaps now players will be able to have permanent progress?

We still await more details and an official launch date. But until then, you can check out the official launch trailer.

Unfortunately, Preseason will still be gated to those with Passes or Space owners. However, they do suggest watching their streams on Twitch for opportunities to win passes.

What is Big Time?

Big Time is a giant-sword fantasy, MMORPG, dungeon crawler game. Players can adventure in teams of up to six players or head out of their own. The action is fast-paced, with players often wading through large groups of enemies. Adventures are instanced, and only available to the current party. Each one generally includes a number of objectives with a big boss to defeat at the end.

Big Time features the usual trio of tank, healer, damage dealer, with four classes to choose from — Time Warrior, Quantum Fixer, Chronomancer, and Shadow Blade. And though the adventures are exclusive to the party, there is an open social hub with merchants and such.

Players can find NFT items on adventures, or craft them using their SPACE, a crafting/housing NFT. Players can also customize the items they find to enhance the player’s preferred stats.

Big Time has an interesting system that allows players to level up with multiple classes. Players have Pocket Watches, which keep track of their progress in each class. Players can use these watches to switch classes at any time. This lets players experience all of the different characters, without the annoyance of logging in and out and maintaining separate inventories.

Big Time is currently in closed alpha, available to those with Silver, Gold, and Ruby Passes, and anyone who owns a SPACE NFT. They do hold regular giveaways for passes on their social media channels.
