Skyweaver Legacy Hero Skins

What is better than crushing your opponent? Looking good while doing it! And Skyweaver hopes to help its players in that regard with a new set of NFTs called Legacy Hero Skins. Acquiring these skins requires melting (burning) Gold cards as well as paying a fee in USDC tokens.

Legacy Hero Skins give players a new look when playing matches in Skyweaver. There are fifteen (15) different skins to choose from, one for each hero. And these Hero skins not only look cool, but they also provide game bonuses and function as an economic sink for Gold cards!

Legacy Hero Skins will be tradeable items, though the official Skyweaver market won’t support them for the first month. These skins are an unlimited mint, gated only by how much players are willing to pay. There will likely be other Hero skins sold in the future, though their manner of distribution may be different.

Legacy Hero Skin Sale

Legacy Hero Skins go on sale on September 22nd, in sync with Patch 100. Purchasing a Hero skin requires burning ten gold cards, and paying an amount of USDC tokens. The USDC cost starts at $20 and goes up significantly with every 10 of that particular skin purchased.

And to make things easier for players, you actually aren’t required to spend both Gold cards and USDC. Players can choose to use Gold cards to pay for the minting fee, or spend only USDC, letting the system purchase Gold cards from the market behind the scenes. All Gold cards used for purchasing these skins are burned, removing them from the market forever. And since each card only has a limited number of Gold foil versions available, this system provides a very interesting balancing point between the value of Gold cards and the value of Legacy Hero Skins.

And speaking of value, the Legacy Skins aren’t just pretty pictures. Playing matches with a Legacy Skin gives the owner a 25% bonus when earning Conquest Points! Conquest Points provide players with weekly rewards. Players earn them by winning matches, with bonuses for using Silver and Gold cards.
