Mirandus continues to churn forward on developing their fantasy, MMO world, releasing new videos and occasional weekend playtests. Now they’re prepared to open the vaults and hand out a number of NFTs, many of them quite valuable, with their Shipwreck Sale, which is slated to open on Monday, December 4th!

Mirandus is bundling up a bunch of their existing game NFTs into Shipwreck Crates and offering them up for sale to those who want to roll the dice to see what washes up on their shores!

The crates will cost $150 USD, payable in ETH or GALA (from either the Ethereum chain or the GalaChain). There are 6969 crates available, and the sale begins on December 4th, 11am PST.

These Shipwreck Crates contain various already existing NFTs. Once opened, the NFTs within the crate will be minted on GalaChain, and the corresponding versions burned on Ethereum. Of course, once minted, owners are free to transfer their NFTs back to the Ethereum network.

And this won’t just be flotsam and jetsam! There are quite a few valuable NFTs available in these crates, including Caravels, Lanterns of the Sun, Majestic Buildings, and even a Town of the Duke (retail price of over $100,00 USD!)! And in keeping with the nautical themse, there are a large number of ships and docks in these Crates, as well as over 100 land deeds, numerous buildings, Exemplars, and bags of MTRM tokens!

What is Mirandus?

In development since 2020, Mirandus is an fantasy MMO by Gala Games . Built with Unity, Mirandus is a first-person, open-world, fantasy MMO where players own everything. From the clothing on their backs to the shops in towns, to the towns themselves! Mirandus features a complex, interconnected economy where players assume the more ordinary roles of blacksmiths, hunters, and tavern keepers in addition to explorers and adventure seekers.

Adventurers will need food, armor repairs, and potions for their next adventures. The blacksmith needs wood from the woodcutter, while the butcher needs meat from the farmer. There are many production lines and players can enjoy being a farmer, an adventurer, a trader, or even a bard!

Players with land plots choose where to place it on the map. Close to a dungeon for more foot traffic? Or near a river for farming and trade? Or perhaps in a mountain pass to levy taxes on anyone who wants to pass through! When the game launches, there will be five citadels, the biggest cities in the game world. These give the owner the right to create and lead their own faction, charge taxes on trade, and so on. Business owners then work out deals with the land owners to place and run their buildings.

And, of course, Mirandus will feature the expected hunting and gathering, battles, both PvE and PvP, and dungeons to search for fabulous treasures!
