Players Can Create NFT Music for Mirandus

Gala Games has announced that their upcoming online role playing game Mirandus won’t get a soundtrack, but instead players can create music and sell it as an NFT. They announced their plans in a blog post, and they envision bards spreading music throughout the game world or concerts taking place in the citadel.

Normally music is part of the gaming experience. It adds tension to action scenes, will adding a layer of emotion while exploring a game world. However, Gala Games wants players to take care of the music. “If there is music in Mirandus, it has to come from a bard or a performance. There won’t be music when you walk around. “ said studio director Michael McCarthy.

Gala Games is now looking for music artists who can produce NFT music that fits Mirandus. Which suggests that not everybody will be able to add music to the game world. They want taverns to be filled with music from a bard, while woodcutters need to provide the resources to create instruments.

How this plan will work out in the final version of Mirandus, remains to be seen. But it’s interesting to see that Gala Games is trying to do things a little big different.

Mirandus filled with ambition

The online role playing game Mirandus contains lots of ambitious ideas. Gala Games is giving user ownership over virtual towns, businesses, and even the citadel. Polyient Games owns one of five citadels, and they also acquired the rights to take care of the economic layer of the upcoming online game.

In the beginning of February they auctioned five banks. Different people, groups or companies now own these Polyient Vault banks. However, one crypto wallet has two banks. These banks auctioned for tens of thousands of dollars. Players can own many aspects of the upcoming online game, while Gala Games is selling NFTs through their marketplace.

At the center of the current ecosystem, is Gala Games’ own GALA token. Gamers can earn this token by competing in weekly competitions for the free-to-play farming game Town Star. Registering is free, playing is free, and every week players can earn GALA tokens. Users can use these tokens to acquire items for Town Star itself or NFTs for Mirandus.

Mirandus at Our Game Festival

Gala Games has decided to become the event sponsor for the upcoming Play to Earn Game Festival. This virtual event takes place from March 22nd to March 28th.
