Hunters On-Chain Now Free to Play

Hunters On-chain banner

Hunters On-Chain goes free to play with their latest update, offering everyone a chance to try out this play to earn, quick paced, combat game. Every new player without a Hunter receives a free, common Hunter that will be bound to their wallet unless it gets used in the game.

Hunters On-Chain brings their free to play feature online, letting anyone join the game and giving first time players a free, common Hunter to play with. These Hunters will be locked in the player’s wallet, though they can be moved if they are played in game on 14 different days.

If the player does not unlock their free Hunter within 30 days of creation, the game will remove the Hunter from the player’s wallet, and they will have to start again with a new Hunter!

Play and Earn with Hunters On-Chain

Players earn BGEM by playing Hunters On-Chain and finishing in the top 3 positions. Players then use BGEM to purchases chests, which can contain Hunter Shards. Equipment, and even Hunters themselves! All of these items are tradable NFTs. Players use Shards to level up Hunters. In the future, Equipment will be used to create new Hunters, though that feature is not yet implemented.

The Hunter’s level and rarity affect the amount of BGEM earned by playing. So while common Hunters will earn a lot less than their more rare counterparts, it is still possible to play and earn with Hunters On-Chain.

In addition, some of the game modes are now gated by Hunter level. Bounty Hunter can only be accessed by Hunters of level 3 and higher, Boss Hunt requires level 5, and Hardcore Hunt is closed until level 7.

Boomland recently launched their BOOM token, used for upgrading Hunters. They also airdropped BOOM tokens to everyone who was holding Hunters and not listing them for sale.

Hunters On-Chain is available via a web browser, or on mobile with both Android and iOS apps. So what’s stopping you? It’s time to hunt!

What is Hunters On-Chain

Hunters is a fantasy, top-down, casual, PVE action game with a couple of different game modes.

For PvE, each match features four players fighting monsters and leveling up. In Hunt mode, matches last for two minutes, with the top spot going to whoever has earned the most experience in that time, or whoever is the last survivor — whichever comes first. Each player starts the match at level 1 with full hit points. As they kill monsters and grab the stars that drop, players gain experience. Gain enough experience, and you level up, earning the right to choose between two, semi-random promotions. These promotions include standard power-ups such as increased damage, greater attack range, and more hit points, as well as special abilities like Damage Reflect and Demon Pact (sacrifice HP for more damage).

As the match goes on, the monsters spawned get tougher. So just trying to hide and survive the match isn’t really a viable tactic. Players need to actively get out on the battlefield and increase their levels. Monsters generally spawn in the corners of the map, though they will chase players all around. At the center lies a healing square that can be visited at any time.

Other modes include Boss Hunt, which requires players to try and defeat a Boss dragon after leveling up, and Bounty Hunter, which is a 10 character, FFA fight with no level-ups during the match.

Players can earn BGEM tokens from playing matches. They can then use BGEM to purchase chests containing random artifacts and hunter shards. Players also need BOOM tokens to level up their Hunters.

Hunters is available to play through a webpage, or with the official app on Android and iOS devices.
