Champions Ascension revealed their planned dates for the upcoming Elemental Eternals mint. This is a completely free mint, and features the second highest tier Characters that will be available in the game!
This will be the second NFT mint for Champions Ascension. And this one is completely free!
This mint is for Elemental Eternals. Elemental Eternals are considered second only to Prime Eternals. In fact, the team has some sort of plans to make it to so that the Elemental Eternals are actually stronger than Primes in the PvE portions of the game.
Only 10,000 Elemental Eternals will ever be available. They come in four Essence types — Fire, Water, Earth, and Air — and are the only Characters that can have Sublime Parts. Other perks include boosts for farming and mining, the ability to breed, extra Essence earnings in battles, the ability to equip armor and weapons, and, immortality!
The first 1,000 Elementals will be minted by the team and used for future giveaways and promotions. After that, the Prime Claim opens on January 25th, 8am PST. Anyone who had a Prime in their wallet during the snapshot (taken back in December) is on this list and guaranteed a mint. Those on the Tier 1 whitelist can mint a day later and have a guaranteed 2 Elementals available for minting. However, the window for Tier 1 only lasts for one hour. After that, Tier 2 slot opens, though there are no guarantees for this mint. It will be first come first served. And finally, if any Elementals are left after Tier 2 closes, they become available to the public at 10am PST on January 26th.

In other Champions Ascension news, the game, and apparently the entire team, have moved to a new company called Plai Labs. It’s unclear what prompted this move, but if the team is indeed remaining intact then it should only be a minor bump in the road.
The team is currently working on updates to the battle arena including 3v3, free for all, and boss battles. Champions Ascension has also talked about moving to Polygon to lower game transaction fees. That’s still very much an in-development change and we don’t know how the process will work from the player’s perspective.
Champions Ascension continues to hold, regular game openings on the weekends, with patches to fix bugs, adjust combat balance, and add new features. These previews are open to everyone and players can earn tickets to spend on special NFTs that will have an in-game utility.
What is Champions Ascension?
Champions Ascension is an upcoming, gladiatorial combat game built inside a virtual world. Though the 3D combat was the original selling point, and the centerpiece of the game, Champions Ascension is also building an open world around it. One where players can walk around and interact, that includes crafting, breeding, land ownership, an in-game marketplace, a staking system, mini-games, and more!
Champions Ascension held an initial sale of Prime Eternals in early 2022. With only 7,622 in existence, Prime Eternals grant many benefits that other characters won’t receive. This includes guaranteed land mints, special breeding options, early access, and, recently released, an airdrop of Pet NFTs. Prime Eternals are generative NFTs with varying attributes that function as in-game characters and as profile picture NFTs.
Champions Ascension is currently running regular game previews for Prime Eternal NFT holders. These events, known as Slice of Massina, offer various mini-games. Play games in the game world to win tickets and purchase special items.
