Animoca Brands has revealed that their upcoming racing game, now called REVV Racing, will launch next month with a big competition. On August 11th they will launch the public alpha test, together with the Alpha Inaugural. This will be a racing event with $150,000 in prizes.
The Alpha Inaugural racing event will take place from August 11th until 17th. Players will compete for the fastest lap times using their REVV Racing car NFTs. The top prizes in the Alpha Inaugural event are $12,000 for first place, $9,000 for second place, and $4,500 for third place. Animoca will hand out 1,000 prizes in total, all paid in REVV tokens. Number 1,000 will still win $59,41 in REVV tokens, so that’s pretty nice.
REVV Racing, and I am still not convinced that this will be the final name, is a blockchain-powered arcade simulation racing game. Players can drive their cars from 1st and 3rd person perspective, and will have full control over their vehicle. Important thing to note, each car will be an NFT.
How to get REVV Racing car NFTs
Wallets that hold at least 8,000 REVV tokens on July 16th will automatically receive a racing car NFT. So this will also be an opportunity to get a couple of vehicles, if you spread out your REVV bag over multiple wallets. However, no need to spread out your wealth too much. Additional car NFTs will be airdropped to wallets holding 12,000 and 20,000 REVV tokens, up to a maximum of three NFTs per wallet.
In addition there are a whole bunch of other mechanics that will give people vehicle NFTs for REVV Racing. There will be reward for users providing liquidity for SAND, GAMEE and TOWER tokens. In addition there will be a staking event for LMT and SUPER. On top of all this, holders of NinjaSticker NFTs and Coingecko REVV event NFTs will receive REVV Racing car NFTs as well.

What is REVV Motorsport?
The REVV Motorsport ecosystem is a series on blockchain-based racing games published by Animoca Brands. These games all use the native REVV token, which they can earn through gameplay participation. They can then use the token to purchase NFTs for the games or pay entry fees for the races.
Players for example need to pay an entry fee to join in F1 Delta Time’s game modes. In addition they can stake the token and earn in-game assets that way, while NFT owners can also stake their assets. This will earn them REVV.
The ecosystem supports games on Polygon, Ethereum and supposedly – even though we don’t know how – Flow. Right now F1 Delta Time, MotoGP Ignition, Formula E, Night Driver, Fatal Run and the unannounced game are confirmed as part of the REVV ecosystem.
