The next playtest for Guild of Guardians is just around the corner. And now is your last chance to apply for a playtest spot! In addition, an upcoming town hall should reveal more details about what to expect in this demo!

It’s been a long time since Guild of Guardians has been willing to show their latest game developments to the public. But that’s about to change with the upcoming “Friends and Family Demo”. Anyone can apply, though the window is closing fast! Today is the final day. Applications will close on October 4th at 12pm AET. Follow this link to fill out the very short application form.

This Guild of Guardians demo will run from October 9th through October 20th. It will include new user tutorials, leaderboards and missions, and an ongoing story narrative.

Other than that, we haven’t been given any details about what to expect. However, there will be a town hall meeting with Chris Clay on October 5th at 5pm CST. During this town hall we should hear about the latest game developments, see some sneak peaks, and receive a lot more info about the upcoming demo!

The demo will most likely be for mobile devices only. It’s been nearly a year and half since their last game demo, so it will be interesting to see how much progress has been made on the game. Guild of Guardians was once the talk of the town, but with their long delays, it seems that much of that hype has moved on to other projects. Will Guild of Guardians be able to reclaim their mojo? I think the reception by players once we get our hands on this upcoming demo will be very telling!

What is Guild of Guardians?

Guild of Guardians is a cooperative, fantasy, action, dungeon crawler game, currently in development on the Ethereum blockchain. Players gather a team of four to enter dungeons, battle monsters, defeat dangerous bosses, and score some sweet loot! The game will be free to play and built for mobile devices first.

Guild of Guardians already has NFTs available on secondary markets and also launched their token, GOG. NFTs can be traded on Immutable X and Token Trove. The token, Guild of Guardians Gems (GOG), can be found on all the ETH DEXs.

The game will feature a rewards pool for GOG token staking that is filled from token usage in-game. Guild of Guardians will also include Pets, Guilds, and Raids, with future plans for land ownership, user created dungeons, and incorporation into eSports. In fact, GoG has already made several partnerships with eSports teams.

Guild of Guardians will be free to play, but those who own NFTs will have various advantages when playing. And for those players who conquer all of the challenges and tasks, the Guardians team plans to build out a robust selection of guild related features and competitions.
