Though it’s already been open for a couple of weeks now, there is still time to join the testnet alpha for Nekoverse and earn rewards before they move to a launch on the mainnet! This cat-themed, turn-based strategy game offers a couple of different ways to play and earn!
The latest playtest for Nekoverse launched on February 1st, 2023. This is the final testnet publish before Nekoverse is ready to move to the mainnet. This test version is available for anyone to download and includes both Android and iOS versions. But, they are only giving players access to this test in batches of 250. The first few batches already have access. I’m unsure of their current status because none of their Discord links seem to work!
The team has three main objectives that they are interested in hearing feedback about — the game experience, the game economy, and the game design.
But this isn’t just a free quality assurance test that you’re providing for the. game There will also be a prize pool of 5 million ASG tokens for testnet participants! The team will take a snapshot of the leaderboard for each Fatal Tower and World Boss event.
Fatal Tower is a PvP game mode that is open to everyone two days per week. The top 200 players for each Fatal Tower event will earn rewards. World Boss is a community effort to defeat a World Boss. Players needs tickets to join this fight, which are earned at community events. Rewards for defeating the World Bosses are distributed based on the amount of damage done.
Token rewards will be sent out after the mainnet launch. Anything else earned during this playtest are testnet tokens / items only, and will not transfer over to mainnet.
What is Nekoverse?
Nekoverse is a turn-based strategy game running on the Solana blockchain. Player avatars in the game are Nekos, cute, 3D cat creatures with rounded bodies. Players compete with one or more Nekos in various game modes. Nekos can level up, and equip gear, increasing their stats. Nekoverse will also offer exploration and resource farming for those who need a break from the PvP battles.
Nekoverse seeks to create a player driven, economic loop built around resource collection and crafting. Players gather materials from their adventures and battles, and then use those materials to craft items. Then equip the items to go on more difficult adventures for greater rewards? Or sell the crafted items to other players and let them do the adventuring?
Anima Spirit Gems (ASG) function as the main the game token used for pretty much any game activity that has a cost. Nekoverse token (NVS), is used for staking and governance.
Nekoverse will offer a Neko breeding feature in the future, as well as guilds, and land/building of some sort. They have also created a mini-economy within their Discord with rewards and events for their community.
