Champions Ascension continues to drop updates to their game world and their arena combat. The latest update not only brings changes to the game, but also launches a month long Xiva Festival, with plenty of events and opportunities to win tickets and other special prizes!

Champions Ascension has been steadily expanding their game. They release regular updates and balance patches for their arena combat, which is the central game within the game. But in addition, they have also been expanding their open world. This latest release gives access to a whole new section of the city, doubling the size of the explorable city.

And to go along with this update, we have the first ever Xiva Festival! Xivas are creatures of fire, best known for bringing the sun’s warmth back to Massina when the Titans of ice and shadow threatened the world. Interestingly, Xivas are also mortal enemies of Crocammits (of which, Old Sally, the current PvE Boss encounter, is a large example).

Xiva Festival

The Xiva Festival celebrates these fire spirits and also brings everyone together for a time of harmony and fun. The Xiva Festival began on August 29th and runs until September 23rd. Throughout this period expect to see special contests and events.

One of the first community events (which just ended this morning), challenged players from different guilds to band together to defeat Old Sally. In addition, there is currently a murder mystery event running on their Discord server (everyone who participates will receive a special title), and an in-game event where players can earn 125 tickets and 125 experience points by finding the six Xivas scattered throughout the city and taking selfies with them (this one ends early tomorrow morning, so you better hurry!)

Players can earn tickets by participating in these special events, through arena combat, and through the various mini-games inside of the game. And now we will soon have some things we can spend those tickets on! Though not yet available, the Champions team has promised to bring back the ability to buy lootboxes which contain various NFT items that will be used an an upcoming player-built, PvE feature known as Maestro’s Tower. Players can also purchase Crocammit eggs from a new vendor found in the lower part of the city.

Expect to see many more events around this festival over the next few weeks. With the game world now open 24/7, the Champions Ascension team is hard at work creating engaging content to keep players entertained and active.

Champions Ascension is completely free to play. You can download the game from their website and starting playing right now!

More About Champions Ascension

Champions Ascension is an arena-based, gladiatorial combat game built inside a virtual world. Though the 3D arena combat is the centerpiece of the game, Champions Ascension also features an open world around it. One where players can walk around, interact, and engage in various other activities. The world includes crafting, breeding, land ownership, an in-game marketplace, a staking system, mini-games, and more!

Champions Ascension held an initial sale of Prime Eternals in early 2022. Prime Eternals are generative NFTs with varying attributes that function as in-game characters and as profile picture NFTs. With only 7,622 in existence, Prime Eternals grant many benefits that other characters won’t receive. This includes guaranteed land mints, special breeding options, early access, free mints, airdrops, and more! Nearly as valuable are the Elemental Eternals, which were the second NFT mint for Champions Ascension.

Aside from arena combat, the game also currently offers an open world space and various mini-games such as Drunk Racing, and Dudo, a betting/bluffing game involving dice. Win tickets as you play in the world and use them to purchase special items.
