How to Transfer TLM from Wax to BSC

alien worlds artwork portal nft drops

Starting from today Alien Worlds will allow players to move their earned TLM tokens from the Wax blockchain to BSC, or Binance Smart Chain. At their destination, the tokens can be traded, used for purchases or DeFi-oriented actions. But how do you get your TLM from Wax to BSC?

A couple of years ago it was impossible to transfer value between blockchains. Nowadays all kinds of technology allows smart contracts to lock away tokens into their system, and mint new tokens at a new location. That’s basically what’s happening with Trilium (TLM) as well. You send it to a smart contract, the system puts it into a safe, and gives you new TLM in return.

Now let’s get started on moving our Trilium wealth from one chain to the other!

Guide to teleport TLM from WAX to BSC

Teleporting Trilium from WAX to BSC

  1. Make sure you’ve made at least 100 TLM

You need to have 100 TLM before you’re eligible to transfer Trilium (TLM) from Wax to BSC. Earn TLM by playing the game.

  2. Visit the teleport page

Teleportation starts at a special teleport page. Go to teleport.alienworlds.io

  3. Login to two accounts

On the Teleport page, you need to login into two accounts: your WAX All Access account and Metamask. Binance is also an option, but let’s go for Metamask.

  4. Setting Metamask up for Binance Smart Chain

Switch your Metamask to Binance Smart Chain. Click the network drop-down > select Add Custom RPC > fill in the network details below:
Metamask Binance Smart Chain BSC settings

  5. Dedicated BSC wallet

Frankly, you could use the same wallet addresses that you’re using on the Ethereum mainnet. However, my advice would be to just setup a new wallet for usage on BSC.

  6. Have some BNB in your wallet

You will need BNB to pay for gas fees. Obtain BNB for example from the Binance exchange.

  7. Now you’re ready. Let’s go teleport those TLM tokens!

On the Teleport page (make sure you’re logged in with two accounts) enter the amount of TLM you want to transfer. Happy? Approve. Confirm the transaction. Teleporting is now in process.

  8. Be patient

You’re sending TLM to the Other.Worlds contract. Oracles, which safeguard the teleportation process, need to sign the transfer. They will lock away TLM on WAX, and bring it back to life on BSC.

  9. Claim TLM on Binance Smart Chain

Once the teleport is ready, you will see a button that says ‘Claim’ in your Teleport dashboard. Click it. Metamask will pop-up. Pay a bit of BNB to claim your TLM on the BSC mainnet. Click Confirm to approve the transaction. Your transaction will be completed with a few seconds.

  10. Want to see your TLM in Metamask?

In the Assets tab > Add Token > Custom Token. Fill in the info, then click Next.
    — Token contract address: 0x2222227E22102Fe3322098e4CBfE18cFebD57c95
    — Token symbol: TLM
    — Decimals: 4

Congratulations. Your TLM tokens are now on the Binance Smart Chain.

Alien Worlds in wave of hype

There’s so much activity around the mining strategy game Alien Worlds on the Wax blockchain, that its trading volume increased ten times in just one week. According to data obtained by DappRadar the game had $2.62 million in trading volume, which was an increase of 1088% compared with the seven days before.

The amount of sales increased 200%, suggesting that the average price for an game NFT saw a 5x increase. In the past seven days there have been more than 22 thousand buyers and sellers, who made a total of 173 thousand trades. That’s an average of 15 trades per individual. This all comes together with the game’s migration to Binance Smart Chain.

After some days of liquidity farming, Binance will open up trading for TLM on Tuesday at 6AM UTC. According to Coingecko the TLM token is currently worth $5,94. However, 100% of the trading volume comes from a small exchange called MXC. It will be interesting to see what happens when trading opens up on Binance.

What is Alien Worlds?

Alien Worlds is an exploration and mining game in which players can own land, use tools and weapons, customize their avatars, own rare artifacts and have minions to use in battles. The game world offers a full economy where players battle for resources and value.

Players in this game world earn Trilium (TLM). This is a cryptocurrency token that bridges the Wax and Ethereum blockchain, allowing the economies of both chains to merge into one. Players earn TLM through mining, and can spend the tokens on betters tools and weapons. Landowners can also airdrop their own custom NFTs to players.

Once you own quite some TLM, you can stake this on a planet and vote in planetary decisions through their decentralized autonomous organization, or DAO. Players and planets all battle for TLM, resulting in competition and collaboration on different fronts.

Ultimately Alien Worlds needs to become a 3D game where avatars roam planets using tools to mine Trilium. Through terraforming, players should even be able to create events and parties on their own lands. There’s also a PVP element to the game, titled the Thunderdome.
