Avocado is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) creating a gaming community, also known as a guild, within the metaverse. How Does Avocado DAO work?
Many P2E games require players to purchase NFT (non-fungible token) digital assets to earn additional in-game assets that can be traded or sold on secondary markets. These NFTs can represent assets such as avatars, vehicles, accessories, weapons, and more. Each asset is uniquely identified, and the record of ownership is stored permanently on the blockchain. Avocado DAO scholarships
Avocado has issued more than 10,000 scholarships, loaning the NFT assets needed to begin a P2E journey. To apply for an Avocado DAO scholarship, applicants must first join the Avocado Discord community.
After joining, head over to #application-forms to fill out an application for the specific game(s) you are interested in.
How to make money as a scholar

Step 1: Join the Avocado Discord community.
Step 2: Click the “Complete” button in the blue bar at the top of the Discord app.
Step 3: Read the server rules and check the “I have read and agree to the rules” checkbox. Then, click the green “Submit” button.
Step 4: Once you have completed the verification steps, navigate to the #application-forms channel. Here you will see the various games that Avocado DAO is offering scholarships for. Fill out the necessary forms for each game you want to participate in and the team will contact you if you are selected as a scholar.
Any questions you may have about the process can be asked in the #scholarship-posts channel. Keep in mind that the more active you are in the Avocado DAO discord, the better of a chance you have to be noticed by leadership and selected for a scholarship!
How do scholars earn real-world money as members of the Avocado DAO?
Let’s take a look at one of the more popular P2E games, Axie Infinity. Axie Infinity players must purchase at least three Axies, Pokemon-type characters that can be bought, bred, and battled against each other, to win Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies known as Smooth Love Potion (SLP). SLPs can be sold for fiat, which is a government-backed currency like the USD.
Getting started with P2E games like Axie Infinity can be cost-prohibitive for some players. The average cost of an Axie varies, but it can cost you up to $300 – $400 to play the game. With Avocado, players can apply for a scholarship to get the NFT assets, such as Axies, required to start earning.
While each game is unique, the P2E principle is the same. Purchase the initial NFT asset required to earn, start playing and earning more in-game assets, then sell and trade those assets for more NFTs or real-world money (fiat).
Scholars generate yield for themselves and the guild as part of a 50-50 split scholarship agreement. This helps bring funding back into the guild that can be used to onboard more scholars.
How to make money as a manager
Because scholars are an integral part of the Avocado ecosystem, managers are needed to recruit, onboard, train, educate, and provide support.
While the process for becoming a manager is not publicly posted anywhere, Avocadians can earn rewards for contributing to the community, hosting community events, becoming a guild leader, or even participating in tournaments on behalf of the guild. Engaging with the community and staying visible is your best bet at getting noticed by leadership. Once you have built some reputation as an active community member, message someone from the leadership team and ask them about the process of becoming a scholar manager.

Avocado history
Before he was the founder of Avocado DAO Guild, Brendon Wong was a serial entrepreneur who founded five start-ups. In 2021, Wong found an opportunity to use crypto to change people’s lives through P2E gaming, and Avocado Guild was launched with token loans for Axie Infinity.
Since its inception, Avocado has launched its token, $SAVG, raised $18M in Series A funding, onboarded 10,000 scholars, added six gaming partners, and provided aid to victims of Typhoon Odette in the Philippines.

This group of contributors currently guides the guild’s direction. Avocado tokens
In December 2021, Avocado DAO issued the AVG Token, a governance token issued as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain. The DAO will eventually be self-governed by AVG token-holders, allowing holders to have voting rights on the direction and management of the guild. Avocado DAO staking
Avocado DAO gives token holders the option to stake $AVG tokens for a minimum of three, six, nine, or 12 months. In the crypto world, staking is a way of earning rewards for holding (or HODL-ing, an acronym for “hold on for dear life” used in the crypto and NFT communities). Think of staking like an interest-bearing savings account — you earn a percentage-rate reward over time for “staking” your holdings.

Step 1: Download a self-custodial wallet such as Coinbase
