The Big Time Holiday Sale will be the first primary sale on the Open Loot Marketplace where Mystery Boxes will be sold, starting on December 22th at 10 a.m. PST! This will be the first opportunity for players to acquire utility NFTs. These assets will be necessary to build buildings within SPACEs and are essential to Big Time’s economy. Each mystery box will cost 49,99 USD.
The Big Time’s team announced how the game’s economy will work not long ago. Basically, SPACE holders will be able to produce cosmetic items and hourglasses. This last item is essential to receive $TIME tokens in the future while playing. But for SPACE owners to produce hourglasses, they will need the right building within their SPACE.
This is where utility NFTs come in. These NFTs will allow SPACE holders to build the necessary buildings to produce either cosmetics or hourglasses. Each Mystery Box will contain three Utility NFTs which can be either an Armory, a Forge, or the rarest of them all, a Time Warden. The Armory and Forge will be used to craft cosmetics while the Time Warden’s utility is to craft Hourglasses. Each utility NFT can also fall into one of eight different rarities.
Each utility NFT will then fit into one of SPACE’s exits. The number of exits of each SPACE depends on its rarity. Obviously, SPACEs with higher rarities will have more exists allowing its owner to have a larger operation within it.
But, SPACE holders will not be able to attach high-rarity Utility NFTs to their low-rarity SPACEs. This means that SPACE owners will want to attach Utility NFTs of the SAME rarity as their SPACE to maximize its potential. This will incentivize players to buy more Mystery Boxes in the upcoming sale.
Only 4,500 out of 6,000 Mystery Boxes will be up for sale. To participate players must deposit funds on Open Loot.
What’s Big Time?
Big Time is an instance-based MMORPG with web3 elements like NFTs and in the future the $TIME token. Players start at level 1, just like every other game of the same genre, and then they adventure into dynamically-generated instances and get stronger. Each instance will be unique, have random quests, and come with its own challenges.
One of the things that distinguishes Big Time from other MMORPGs is that class, level, and gear are bound to an item, the Pocket Watch. By changing the Pocket Watch players can change classes on the fly, unlike other games where players are stuck with their initial choice when they started playing.
By slaying monsters and completing quests players are rewarded with loot such as equipment, gold, and cosmetic NFTs. These NFTs can then be sold on the marketplace for real money.
Personally, I had a good time playing Big Time. I think its gameplay is up to the games we see in web2 nowadays and I also like its cartoonish graphics. It is a game I recommend for MMORPG lovers.
