What are the best play-to-earn games to keep your eyes on in December? Some games will release a major update, while other games will have their first presale. As a play-to-earn gamer you always look for that next big hit, but we also shouldn’t forget that we’re still very early. With this article Play to Earn Online Magazine presents 10 play-to-earn games to watch this December.
Please note. This list is not about game launches, but about what’s trending or still in development. The reasons for mentioning these games in this article will be diverse, ranging from good earning opportunities to interesting investments, all the way to simply ‘this game looks dope as f***’. In addition we want to highlight a diverse range of games, so that we won’t mention Axie Infinity, Alien Worlds and Sorare every month. Nonetheless, what ever the reason may be, we will explain why these play-to-earn games are part of our December selection. This is the Play!
Farsite

Crate sale live, pre-alpha coming
Without a doubt this will be a big month for Farsite, the space exploration where everything goes. Right now there’s a crate sale happening, which is quite essential if you want to have some resources to get started. Even bigger is the fact that there will be pre-alpha gameplay coming on December 14th. Players can begin mining and gathering resources in their Sectors. This will be the birth of a new space economy.
Chainmonsters

Closed beta coming December 6th
If you love blockchain gaming, then this December will be a beautiful month. Starting from December 6th thousands of gamers will get access to the closed beta of Chainmonsters, a MMORPG that changed drastically over the past 18 months. For the better! Next year the open beta will launch, so everybody who’s in this closed beta will have a head start at finding NFTs and learning about the game. Chaimonsters presents itself as a free-to-play monster-taming MMO with a player-driven economy.
Chumbi Valley

Chumbi Seed sale will take place
Even though gameplay still seems far off, Chumbi Valley is a much anticipated role playing game. For many the graphics are the main attraction, and therefore it’s no surprise that many have gotten themselves whitelisted for the Chumbi Seed sale. However, even if you’re not whitelisted you can get some Seeds. But you will need to hope there’s some left after the 5-hour sale for whitelisted people.
Mirandus

Earn Materium in upcoming play test
This December Gala Games will have the second play test for Mirandus, and this time gamers can expect some serious gameplay. They get to use their Exemplar NFTs to play the test version of the game, and each Exemplar can earn some Materium. This is a new resource, and one crucial to the world of Mirandus. Furthermore, on December 6th there will be a Mirandus Vox NFT sale. That’s also worth getting into if you’re hyped about this MMORPG.
Splinterlands

Another Chaos Legion sale
The trading card game Splinterlands is not for everybody. You will need to pay $10 to unlock the PTE functionalities, and you will need to level up first before you’re able to start earning. Nonetheless, this is still one of the premier play-to-earn games on the market. Starting from December 8th there will be another Chaos Legion NFT card pack sale, in addition these card will become playable in the game.
World of Sipheria

SIPHER is coming, NFTs are here, but no game yet
We expect to hear a lot more about World of Sipheria next year. For now the availability of two NFT collections will have to do. Each of the characters in these collections will become playable characters in the full game. On December 6th the team will have a public token sale on their website, so be sure to check that out if you want to be early.
The Sandbox

An open alpha for all, and play-to-earn for some
Everybody who owns an Alpha Pass NFT can get access to the play-to-earn segment of The Sandbox. After long waiting players can finally dip their toes into an early version of what The Sandbox will become. Even though the majority of the players won’t get access to the earning mechanics, they do get an idea of what the full version of The Sandbox will become. If you’re into play-to-earn gaming, you will need to give this one a try.
REVV Racing

A whole new play-to-earn mechanic entered the game
REVV Racing already allowed players to use their NFT racing cars in competitions, in an effort to earn REVV tokens. However, you had to be good to win. With the introduction of new PTE mechanics, everybody will at least earn SHRD tokens, which unlock CATA tokens, which allow you to upgrade NFT cars and make them better. Cool stuff, adding a new earning mechanic to the game. This will likely increase activity for REVV Racing for sure!
Doctor Who: Worlds Apart

First playable version coming before the end of the year
Reality Gaming Group and BBC Studios haven’t revealed a launch date yet, but the first playable test version of the trading card game Doctor Who: Worlds Apart will launch this month. You will need a Founder Token to join this alpha. The team also plans an new sale for Founder Tokens somewhere this month, but again, not details yet.
Mobox: MoMoVerse

DeFi became GameFi, now becoming a gaming universe
Mobox will launch the first phase of the Mobox MoMoverse on December 6th. The existing Mobox NFTs become avatars for a daily quest system with play-to-earn mechanics. During alpha players will be able to test the MoMoWorld game and receive MBOX rewards. Once the open Alpha is complete, the official version will launch, including an NFT marketplace. Out of all the GameFi products on the market, this is one that has been building and growing its ecosystem consistently since its launch in April. Don’t expect anything like an MMO yet, but it also seems like everybody is making virtual worlds nowadays.
