MegaCryptoPolis 70% Off As Store Will Close

mega world megacryptopolis nft citizen sale

For a total of ten days the MegaCryptoPolis Store offers all packs on both Ethereum and Tron with 70% off. That means players can now acquire citizens for in the virtual world with a hefty discount. After those ten days, on November 9th, the store will forever close its doors.

The reason for the promotion and the closing of the store is quite simple. MegaCryptoPolis will cease to exist and will become Mega World, a 3D world where players can walk around, own a house, and shop for NFTs. Even though the MegaCryptoPolis Store will close, the Mega World Store will open. Any Gen A Citizen that has not been sold, will move to the Mega World Store. This new shop will open in 2022.

There’s another thing to point out, as not every Mega World Store Pack will contain a citizen. It looks like these packs will have an element of randomness to them. So players interested to have a Generation A citizen who’s a top manager, professional or executive, this would be a good chance. The price for every pack type increases slightly with every pack sold.

  • Local Pack (1 manager and 2 random items) – Sold out / 899 TRX
  • Urban Pack (1 top manager, 1 appliance, 3 random items) – 0.234 ETH / 1687 TRX
  • Mayor Pack (1 professional, 1 pet token, 5 random items) – 0.354 ETH / 3732 TRX
  • Federal Pack (1 executive, 1 car token, 1 pet token, 7 random items) – 0.695 ETH / Sold out

Mega World will replace MegaCryptoPolis

Mega World will have an exciting showcase in a few days. Don’t expect this reveal on November 2nd to be the full version of Mega World, as the MegaCryptoPolis team plans to release the alpha somewhere in March, April or May 2022. However, until that happens they will release all kinds of smaller demos, giving players a peak into the future of their game world.

The announcement on Twitter by MegaCryptoPolis didn’t provide a whole lot of information for outsiders. However, Mega World will become the updated version of MegaCryptoPolis. Instead of being a business owner in a city, players will actually be able to walk around in the city. In Mega World players own characters, and each of those characters has a job, a life, a home, hobbies, and perhaps a dog to take on a walk.

Mega World will allow players to walk through shopping areas, buying NFT art from a local gallery. It will also allow players to host parties in their mansion, or simply enjoy the view from their rooftop condo. Mega World combines elements of The Sims with a real, player-driven economy. On November 2nd they will introduce the ‘Mega World Intro’, which will probably be one of the demos mentioned earlier.

What is Mega World?

You could compare MegaCryptoPolis with a game like Simcity, however it also has elements from The Sims in it. Players can own houses, offices, and factories. Citizens need jobs, jobs need employees, factories produces resources, and so on. All these digital assets are important for the Mega World ecosystem.

Mega World also allows its citizens to move indoors. Player characters have their own homes, offices and favorite shops. The character owners could decorate these virtual homes with furniture and electronics, showcase NFTs and invite their friends over for a party. These will also be ERC-721 or TRC20 tokens, which in turn need to be produced by factories, requiring resources, workers, transport and so on.

The MEGA token is an important part of the ecosystem. Players can lock away resources in exchange for MEGA tokens. They can then move these MEGA tokens from one blockchain to another, for example from Ethereum to Tron. The receiver on the Tron blockchain can then redeem these and swap them again for resources. MEGA allows value to transfer between different blockchain ecosystems.
