Starting from next week PlayDapp will open the play-to-earn servers for their mobile role playing game Along with the Gods, allowing players to earn PLA tokens. In addition the game company will launch staking options, allowing gamers to lock their NFTs for passive income. All this will begin on October 27th.
By staking their NFTs in the Item Manager, players can earn PLA token rewards from playing the game. The NFTs you can stake are the PlayDapp native PLAYZ NFTs, special characters central to the ecosystem. The Daily Quest Rewards from Along with the Gods will reward PLA tokens if you stake 3 SR rank PLAYZ. In addition players can unlock the PLA rewards for the Weekly Arena by staking 1 SSR rank PLAYZ NFT. There are also some rules for staking, which you can find here.
The easiest way to get these PLAYZ NFTs is by buying them from the marketplace. For roughly $50 you can get a SR character. An SSR characters costs $180 on the secondary market. Once you have these, the PLA earning mechanics for Along with the Gods will unlock.
PlayDapp had its first blockchain gaming success Crypto Dozer, but the company always had the intention to have its own platform. The PlayDapp Marketplace helps with that, while the PLA token is becoming a central currency in multiple games. This includes Along with the Gods, but also the PC-native MMO Dragon Blood and the Roblox-native game PlayDapp Town. The moral of the story is that the PLA token is more than just a currency for Along with the Gods.
So what is PlayDapp?
PlayDapp has the PlayDapp Games platform, where players can play games like CryptoDozer, Along with the Gods, Soulseeker and the MMO Asta. On their marketplace games and companies can sell various game items, including items from third-party games like League of Kingdoms. The entire ecosystem is now powered by the Polygon blockchain, but it used to exist on Ethereum.
The switch to Polygon makes a lot of sense for PlayDapp, which has been making moves into the NFT market for some time now. PlayDapp has also launched their own blockchain-powered virtual world, PlayDapp World, within the Roblox ecosystem. In PlayDapp Town gamers can use unique NFT characters, as well as regular Roblox ones. Players will find a variety of activities in the game world, including a school playground, a market, fishing activities, soccer field and concert venue.
