Animoca Brands and the play-to-earn DAO Yield Guild Games have teamed up to organize the REVV Racing YGG Cup, taking place from the 10th until the 16th of September. The play-to-earn tournament has a $150,000 prize pool and the top player taking home $12,000.

Animoca and Yield Guild Games will have rewards for the 1,000 best players. Winners will receive REVV tokens and YGG tokens, split 67% and 33%. The top 3 takes home $12,000, $9,000 and $4,500 respectively, while also receive an YGG Cup NFT in either gold, silver or bronze.

This will be the second partner tournament in a short time. Last week they had the TOWER Cup, and even the number 1000 receive $50 in token prizes. However, there’s serious competition and players will need to put in effort to race a good time-trial. The time difference between the number 1 and number 50 was less than one second.

At the moment REVV Racing offers a variety of racing cars. But these are basically all the same cars with different skins. For example, there are only 17 ApeSwap cars, 109 The Sandbox cars, 44 Gamee cars and 3270 cars for REVV token holders. In case you don’t have a car, but want to compete, you can find these NFT cars on OpenSea.

What’s REVV Racing?

REVV Racing is a browser-based racing game developed by Animoca Brands, who are also the company behind a variety of racing games. The game plays very nicely, especially considering that it runs in a browser. It has the graphics and feel of an arcade or console game, with plenty of opportunities for skids, drifts, and wipeouts. There is only one race course available at the moment but plenty of competition for the top ranks.

The REVV Motorsport ecosystem is a series on blockchain-based racing games published by Animoca Brands. These games all use the native REVV token, which they can earn through gameplay participation. They can then use the token to purchase NFTs for the games or pay entry fees for the races. REVV Racing uses REVV as a reward, but players also need to use to token to buy additional tries in their road to success.
