Satvival is a Bitcoin-powered open-world multiplayer survival game, made by development studio Satoshi’s Games. The game lets players build and craft items, ranging from weapons to a self-made fortress. At the same time you will need to feed yourself, and battle the weather elements.
Gamers knee-deep into online games, will recognize that Satvival has elements from games like Rust and DayZ. In the world of Satvival there’s no place for mercy. You gather wood to build a fire, than you craft a bow to hunt. After that you create a shelter, gain experience, level up and unlock bitcoin rewards. However, other players do the same and the game takes place on a pirate island. Be prepared to get raided.
Satoshi’s Games uses visual elements very similar to their other game, the battle royale title Lightnite. In addition both games use the same infrastructure. Gamers need to connect their Bitcoin Lightning Wallet in order to win or lose sats, while in addition the game stored NFTs in Liquid Network. Both Lightning and Liquid are layer-2 solutions on top of the Bitcoin blockchain.
Through the Elixir marketplace gamers can acquire closed beta access to Satvival. The game currently has a $15 price tag, and rewards testers with 100 sats per day and an extra 1,000 sats per month.
What is Elixir marketplace
On Elixir Market gamers can trade in-game assets from for example Lightnite, the battle royale game that also taps into Bitcoin. Elixir Market runs on both Liquid Network and Lightning Network, two layer-2 solutions on top of the Bitcoin blockchain. Satoshi’s Games uses Liquid to store NFTs, and give players ownership over in-game items. At the moment players can for example store their skins and outfits for Lightnite. Another game that also uses Liquid, would be the space game Infinite Fleet. In addition there’s a small variety of other games available as well.
In addition the marketplace uses Lightning Network for all forms of payments. That means that transactions happen fast, simply by scanning a QR code using a smartphone. Again, it’s the same technology used by their battle royale game. Obviously Elixir Market isn’t the first NFT marketplace, not even close. However, it is the first NFT marketplace for non-fungible tokens on the Bitcoin blockchain.
