Guild of Guardians NFT Trading Finally Live

Guild of Guardians heroes NFT trading marketplace

After the last-minute postponement two weeks ago, gamers can now start trading their NFT assets for Guild of Guardians on Immutable X. The service went live Friday morning European time. Currently there are two marketplaces that support NFT trading.

The marketplaces, like Guild of Guardians itself, use Immutable X. This means that gamers need to do purchases using ETH, but everything exists on a layer away from the Ethereum blockchain. This way all trades can happen without having to worry about fluctuating gas fees.

Gamers looking to by legendary heroes, can find them on the Immutable X marketplace. An alternative option would be TokenTrove. At the moment Tavros, the archmage of darkness, is one of the cheapest heroes on the market with a $1,200 price tag. While the Mythic version of the infernal swordsman Cyrus is listed for $1,3 million. Probably a bit speculative.

When it comes to actual sales, things haven’t gone THAT crazy, yet. An elite version of Tavros sold for 4,5 ETH earlier today. So far that’s the biggest sale.

Now that trading is live, Immutable will soon launch the pre-sale to introduce more heroes and NFT items.

More NFT sales coming in a month

So far, Immutable has sold Guild NFTs and Legendary characters. However, there are more and cheaper characters waiting to be bought. The second wave of NFT sales will happen one month after the first NFTs have been minted. Possibly we are looking at September here.

Guild of Guardians is a mobile action role playing game. It uses blockchain technology to give players ownership over heroes, game items and guilds. In addition the game features a strong play-to-earn mechanic, while it’s built on Immutable X. This layer-2 Ethereum blockchain solution allows free transfers of NFTs.

Guild of Guardians gameplay explained

Guild of Guardians will offer a singleplayer campaign in which you control a team of heroes on your mobile device. Most likely there will be four heroes in each squad, but players only control one at the time. The computer controls the others. Most likely players can switch their characters, but they didn’t elaborate on this topic much.

Even though the game features singleplayer, they promote it a lot as a cooperative game. In co-op raids players can work together, using their own characters, to beat a single boss. These will have the best loot. Guild raids require coordination to succeed and for example the power level or class of a character can influence the outcome. Each participants in a successful raid is rewarded, and therefore communication and strategy can be considered key.

Based on your team, some monsters are easier to beat than others. The composition of a team is important to counter passive buffs, debuffs and spells. While player buffs can also help team members to overcome challenges. There are also team buffs, for example by having a group of characters from the same class. For combat they got inspiration from games like Diablo, Hades and other popular dungeon crawlers. Dodging, light and heavy attacks, attack combos, and ultimate attacks need to make combat fun and intuitive.
