Polychain Islands calls for players to team up and protect the islands from an encroaching threat. Gamers need to collect new monsters, train them and ward off the unnamed threat. On top of battling Polymon, players will be able to farm resources, start companies, and construct buildings.
How Will the Economy Work?
The developers have said that participating in the economy of the islands is essential for creating stronger Polymon for future battles. Buying land will allow players to produce goods and resources. They can use these to boost Polymon with items and potions.
Landowners will be able to build factories that produce reduces. However, those who do not own land can still build factories on other player’s land. This will give the owner a share of the earnings.
There will be an upcoming land sale that will allow the first landowners to emerge. However, they will organize monthly sales so that later players can also purchase a home.
Players can use resources to level up Polymon, construct new buildings, and combine them into new assets. They can earn resources by harvesting and staking. Every resource on Polychain Island will be backed by an EIP-20 token, allowing them to be integrated into the DeFi ecosystem.
Players can fight each other as well as competing in tournaments. As players fight, they will earn an in-game resource called Essence. The developers see ‘essence’ as the most sought-after commodity on the islands. You will need the asset to access Polymon Park, where players can find new Polymons. In addition players need essence to craft very rare valuable items.
