Sorare has signed an agreement with the German football federation DFB to add the players of Die Mannschaft, the German national team, to the fantasy football game. Limited edition football cards are available through auctions now, and can be used in their weekly fantasy football game with real prizes.
The German national football team, known by fans as Die Mannschaft, is the second national team to sign an agreement with Sorare. Last week France, also home to the company behind Sorare, made their debut. Normally Sorare signs agreements with club teams or national competitions, so signing deal with national federations adds another layer of collectibles to the Sorare fantasy football ecosystem.
The deal with the DFB is interesting, because Sorare doesn’t have many licenses in the German football league yet. Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, but Schalke 04 relegated this year. Clubs like Dortmund, Leipzig and Wolfsburg are still missing in action. Perhaps this deal with the DFB opens doors to add the rest of the Bundesliga to the Sorare ecosystem.
