The strategy game Hash Rush is currently undergoing a complete makeover, and one of the changes will be the introduction of NFT boosts. In their latest development update the team shared that players can acquire and activate boosts to specific areas of the game, for example +10% health for all units.
The NFT boosts will only be temporarily, which would mean that technically they’d get burned once used. This would also mean that there’s an unlimited supply of boosts available, so there’s no need to hoard them. Likely players would buy these NFTs using the RUSH Coin currency. However, this is speculation from my side.
Hash Rush will use the Vorto Network, a new blockchain-powered game solution by parent company Vorto Gaming. Recently Vorto partnered with Near Protocol, which would suggest that the game’s ecosystem would move there as well.
Play-to-earn in Hash Rush
Vorto Gaming wants to use RUSH Coin not only as an in-game reward, but also as a currency for the dedicated shop. Players will be able to earn the token through in-game challenges. Vorto Gaming recently took over the reigns from VZ Games, and they want to focus on becoming more like a play-to-earn title. The developers described this future version of the game as ‘a more fine-tuned release’ of the strategy game.
Currently Hash Rush is basically a free-to-play real-time strategy game. The game takes place in the fictional Hermeian galaxy where players build and battle to be successful. Hash Rush will tap into the Vorto Network, connecting the game to a wallet service and integrated marketplace.

Gathering resources is the key to success, and this can be done by mining and defeating monsters. Players need resources to build a base, while different units are available for different purposes.
