Fantasy football game Sorare announced this Friday that they will start covering football matches from national teams. Players who are active for their national team in for example the European Championship 2021, the Copa Libertadores in South America, or World Cup qualifications, will count in the weekly tournaments.
As a result Sorare will hardly see any downtime. While the fantasy football game normally had a summer break, those times are now over. With the introduction of the South Korean and Japanese football leagues, they already covered their winter season. The introduction of national team matches will add a lot more activity to the Sorare schedule the entire year.
The introduction of national teams will mean that players with international duties can earn points for Sorare managers. These are extra chances for players to earn ETH or win cards, especially considering that the national competitions normally take a break during for example World Cup qualifications or the actual international championships.
