Upland Collectibles Get Bridge from Wax to EOS

Upland Blockchain Heroes cards wax

Virtual real-estate game Upland is working with Blockchain Heroes to launch the Upland Collectibles: Blockchain Heroes Edition on the Wax blockchain next week. What’s interesting is that some of the collectibles will also have utility on the EOS blockchain, as some digital collectibles can become so-called Block Explorers in the Upland game.

The cards exists on the Wax blockchain and the card packs can only be purchased using the WAXP token. However, cards with the mythic rarity and all cards featuring Upland x Blockchain Heroes characters can be transferred to the EOS blockchain. Upland will introduce a special NFT portal that will collectors to move these NFTs from Wax to EOS.

The cards that move over, will become a so-called explorer in Upland. These explorers are basically player-characters or avatars. Players are free to use their explorers, or sell them to others Upland citizens.

There will be two card packs: the Heroes Pack and the Titans Pack. The first one will contain 10 cards and costs 15 dollar, while the second one costs 35$ and gives you 25 cards. In total there are 294 collectibles to find. In the near future they will also introduce a way to merge multiple common cards into a more rare one, allowing players to create their own mythic cards that way.

The sale takes place in two stages. First they will sell 50% of the supply on April 6th at 12PM EST or 4PM UTC. The second batch will be sold on April 7th at 12AM EST or 4AM UTC. Visit the Upland website for more details.

What is Upland?

Upland is a Monopoly-inspired EOS blockchain game in which players own digital versions of real-world properties. Players can buy virtual property using in-game tokens, which in turn can also be earned inside the game itself. In addition this virtual real-estate platform will become a bit similar to the Monopoly board game. The plan is to allow users for example to setup virtual businesses.

The game world of Upland is hundred percent based on the real world. Players start in San Francisco or Fresno and can travel to other cities, including New York. They earn income from trading virtual properties, completing signature collections and by participating in treasure hunts and other live events. Each property is based on real-world boundaries and is represented by a non-fungible token on the EOS blockchain.

Upland allows players to create virtual businesses. In addition there are competitive tournaments where players need to use their block explorers to conquer land as a team. Upland is available for iOS and Android.
