Chain Games | CHAIN token | esports | Fortnite |
Chain Games is adding a whole bunch of premium mainstream games to their blockchain-powered esports platform, including Fortnite, FIFA, NBA2K, Madden NFL and Counter-Strike: GO. They selected Fortnite as the first one in line to join the platform, which means players can create paid matches and walk away victorious with cash in their pockets, or of course end up with an empty wallet.
In essence a service like Chain Games is an extra layer on top of an existing game. This extra layer determines that players need to pay to enter a game, and it distributes rewards to the best players. Last month Chain Games already announced a partnership with Atari, adding their ATRI token to the esports platform.
Chain Games also has a marketplace in the making and a fantasy sports platform. Central to their ecosystem is the native CHAIN token. In December last year Chain Games announced the integration of their crypto rewards system into Call of Duty Warzone. Their competitive platform allows players to join paid competitions and earn based on their performance.
This is not crypto gambling
Chain Games is not a betting platform, because there’s no chance involved. Players pay a couple of dollars and need to have the skills to win. So basically they need to pay an entrance fee to be able to join a competition. Chain Games doesn’t facilitate the option to bet on the outcome of an online match.
That’s how the platform differentiates itself from for example Unikrn, which is basically an online gambling platform using crypto. Chain Games just get started a few months ago, and when it manages to incorporate games like Fortnite, FIFA 21 and League of Legends, we could be looking at an interesting esports platform for the amateur and wanna-be pro gamers out there.
