CryptoMotors Selling 25 Gen1 Cars for 1.1 ETH Each

CryptoMotors Gen1 Virtual Racer Abyssus

Starting from Tuesday March 16th at 5PM EST or 11PM CET CryptoMotors will sell their Gen1 Virtual Racer Abyssus cars on OpenSea. The virtual car will come in 5 different colors and have a 1.1 ETH price tag. There will only be 25 cars in this first batch, but more will come at a later date.

The CryptoMotors Gen1 Virtual Racer Abyssus is a car with high acceleration and speed. However, the exact stats will be randomly generated when each NFT is minted, and these will unlock once the car has been purchased. As a result each of the cars is unique, even though the stats fall within a certain range.

These virtual cars are literally virtual cars. CryptoMotors designs them in order to be used in a variety of different virtual worlds and games. They didn’t reveal anything yet, but CryptoMotors says gamers should prepare ‘for a huge step forward into motorsports games interoperability’.

They partnered with the Whale community and Animoca Brands. As a result the vehicles can be purchased with a variety of tokens. Ten units sell for ETH, 10 sell for REVV and 5 for WHALE. Find more details about the sale, pricing and availability in their blog post.

Owners of the Gen 1 cars can join in a special STAT tournament. Here players can win $8000 in WHALE tokens every month. The NFTs will also be interoperable with a variety of 2D, 3D and VR games and platforms. Currently the cheapest CryptoMotors vehicle costs 1.99 ETH. At the same time the Sports Coupé is the most expensive one with a price tag of 500 ETH.

Next steps for CryptoMotors

CryptoMotors already sold a bunch of vehicles in the past. They’ve been working to create a standard for the design of vehicles in the metaverse. That’s why their partnership with Animoca Brands is potentially a game changer for them. Animoca has games like F1 Delta Time and The Sandbox in its portfolio, while its active across a variety of blockchains including Flow and Ethereum.

They launched the REVV token ecosystem, which powers existing and upcoming racing games. F1 Delta Time is already live, while MotoGP Ignition will launch its first phase soon.

On top of that, Animoca will add Formula E and a couple of Atari racing games. Robby Yung from Animoca Brands told us earlier that they’re not done there, as more products will join the REVV ecosystem.

Don’t be surprised of the vehicles from CryptoMotors end up as NFTs inside the virtual gaming world of The Sandbox. However, that’s mere speculation.
