Vorto Gaming, which is a merger of game studio VZ Games and PG Gaming Group, is planning to improve the play-to-earn mechanics in Hash Rush this Fall. The developers describe this future version of the game as ‘a more fine-tuned release’ of the strategy game.
Currently Hash Rush is basically a free-to-play real-time strategy game. The game takes place in the fictional Hermeian galaxy where players build and battle to be successful. Hash Rush will tap into the Vorto Network, connecting the game to a wallet service and integrated marketplace. This platform will also allow third-parties to hop on, according to the official website.
The complete blockchain integration for Hash Rush has been lacking. Sure, they have a token, but the developers first wanted to focus on quality gameplay. However, now with three years of development time, it seems like this merger was needed to avoid a never ending development cycle.
