Microsoft is working with Enjin to bring NFTs from a new text-based adventure game into Minecraft, one of the most popular games of the past decade. Digital rewards won through the free-to-play game, can then be used as characters in Minecraft. These digital collectibles can be earned for a limited time in Azure Space Mystery.
Azure Space Mystery is the third game in a series of a community developed games, following Azure Mystery Mansion and Azure Maya Mystery. This time around the adventure takes place in space, where players need to find missing pieces of their spaceship. After that they need to find their way to the ISS.
The connection between Azure Space Mystery and Minecraft will only happen when players earn the final badge, available when players complete all missions. Then they will need to access the MyMetaverse Minecraft server, and link their Enjin wallet. This wallet should contain the Azure Heroes tokens, which are – of course – non-fungible tokens or NFTs.
How to earn the Azure NFT?
- Complete the game
- On completion, the game will give you a QR code
- Scan the QR code using your Enjin wallet
- Also link the wallet to MyMetaverse
- Open Minecraft, go to the mc.mymetaverse.io server
- Type /wallet, and select your new companion
The game is available until March 11th 2021.
Discord & Telegram Unlockables
When you have this companion in MyMetaverse, the story doesn’t end. Players will unlock a new quest in this Minecraft server. Upon completion of this task, players will unlock fungible tokens that can be used in Telegram and Discord to unlock exclusive chat groups.
What is Enjin?
Enjin is a blockchain protocol on top of the Ethereum blockchain that’s all about creating connections between different game worlds. They are the team that introduced the ERC-1155 token. Enjin is all about empowering users through gaming, and creating usability for digital assets across different virtual worlds, games, and interactive environments.
At the moment Enjin is working on Efinity and NFT.io, an upcoming NFT marketplace. Last month they got approved by the Japanese regulatory organization, while they are also working with Atari on digital fashion and a new Kick Off! game.
