The legendary Italian football club AC Milan has joined the cryptocurrency space by creating their own ACM fan token. The AC Milan fan token will be available on rewards platform Socios, following other clubs including Juventus, Paris Saint Germain, FC Barcelona and AS Roma. Fans can buy the tokens to gain access to exclusive fan content and earn rewards.
At the heart of the Socios platform is the utility token Chiliz (CHZ). More than 450 thousand users have downloaded the app, and they bought over 14 million tokens. These tokens have generated more than 30 million dollars in value in little more than one year.
The tokens for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Juventus (JUV) launched on Binance last year. In December these tokens gained lots of traction on cryptocurrency exchange Binance as trading volumes reached a high of 300 million dollars.
