In an effort to give everybody the opportunity to own virtual land in the upcoming MMORPG Ember Sword, the developers have changed their land system. There will be three different land sizes, and instead or regions there are now nations. Bright Star Studios revealed these changes in their latest newsletter.

Ember Sword will feature 160 thousand land plots, divided into three different sizes. The smallest area is called a plot, while an estate consists our of five times five plots. The biggest area is something the developers named a region, which consists out of 400 plots (20×20).

Plots can contain a settlement, where buildings can be placed. Some buildings however, are too big. These would require a town, which needs 2×2 plots and is represented as a single NFT. In a town players can place more advanced buildings. In addition a plot can provide specific resources or they can spawn mobs.

The developers expect to share more details about their virtual land soon. This Friday they are hosting a live Q&A on Twitch, starting at 5PM UTC.
