Gamers interested in the hybrid massively multiplayer online strategy game Taurion can now add the game to their wishlist on Steam. According to the Steam page Autonomous Worlds Ltd. plans to release Taurion in April 2021. The game will be free-to-play and embraces a fully decentralized economy as part of its play-to-earn gameplay.
Taurion runs completely on the Xaya blockchain. This blockchain stores all ownership over assets and in-game actions. As a result nobody cheats and the community truly governs the rules of the game.
The online multiplayer strategy game takes place in a far future where twelve houses have become increasingly hostile as they are fighting for resources. Now there seems to be plenty of resources on Taurion, and therefore the battle for supremacy begins once again.
Taurion at Play to Earn Game Festival
Taurion is one out of twelve confirmed games for the Play to Earn Game Festival. Starting from today, November 2nd, visitors of the festival can learn about existing, new and upcoming blockchain-powered games that empower gamers through ownership. Taurion is one of those games.
Visitors of the Play to Earn Game Festival will be able to join in a raffle for a large vehicle. We will only give away one of those vehicles, but they are extremely rare. When the game launched next year, there will only be two large vehicles in total!
What is Taurion?
The online strategy game Taurion takes place in a decentralized world. Spread across factions and a massive alien landscape, gamers will have the opportunity to compete and harvest resources. As a result human intelligence, skill, effort, and team work are needed to secure blockchain assets and currencies in the game. This is true play-to-earn in a player-governed virtual world.
Users cooperate and compete as they fill various roles and niches within their factions. As those alliances grow stronger, profits will increase. However, success is likely to attract more predators. Players partake in an environment where the credo is to explore, expand, exploit, exterminate. As a result one should always be wary.
All this takes place in a decentralized, massively-multiplayer online real-time strategy universe. Like a virtual, futuristic adaptation of the Wild West, Taurion is a planet full of lost hope and endless ambition. It will allow gamers to reach a level of achievement not possible in traditional gaming outlets.
