Planetarium has announced the final pre-sale for their upcoming blockchain-powered role playing game Nine Chronicles. The pre-sale starts on September 2nd 2020. During the pre-sale gamers can buy in-game currencies (NCG) that will be used for crafting, governance and market trading inside the game.

With the first pre-sale Nine Chronicles gathered 70 thousand dollars within 18 hours. Early backers of the game will get a 5 percent bonus on their gold and food materials. Besides the resources and gold, players can also buy exclusive Nine Chronicles items during the final pre-sale. There are exclusive cosmetics and wearable items, costumes, titles and a physical collector’s package. The blockchain secures each digital item as a non-fungible token.

Planetarium works on Nine Chronicles in partnership with Ubisoft and investment fund Hashed. Ubisoft assists Planetarium in making Nine Chronicles suitable for a mainstream audience. The game will be completely free-to-play and everybody can participate in the in-game economy.

NCG isn’t necessary in the beginning stages of the game, but your needs may increase as you grow more powerful. Eventually, you can stake NCG to earn energy potions and unique items. You can use these or sell them to others. Nine Chronicles will launch its mainnet in September. They expect a mobile version of the game in 2021.

What is Nine Chronicles?

Nine Chronicles is an idle role playing game in which players need to combat enemies, defeat bosses, create weapons, gather resources and brew potions. This blockchain game runs on its own private blockchain and uses that to store all gameplay choices and ownership over digital assets.

The developers promote Nine Chronicles as a ‘fully decentralized RPG powered by the players’. According to them gamers can play, mine resources (and therefore make money), trade (and make money) and govern the game world together. As a result gamers will have some form of political power in game world.

The great war between the gods ripped the Nine Worlds apart, and even though the gods eventually put an end to their conflict, the scars of war had already started to cause Yggdrasil, the world tree to wither. Then one day, a stray cat in Midgard wishing to be reborn as a human, was called by the goddess and reincarnated as a half-cat, half-human being.

The World of Nine Chronicles has nine regions in total. For example, the cute little teratoma creatures live in Yggdrasil, but attack everything on sight. Other regions will offer unique enemies, boss, and resources.
