Binance and The Sandbox have completed the initial token sale of the first 360 million SAND. Currently 12.225 wallets have SAND, which means that 9.1 percent of all registrants were able to secure a share of the tokens. Trading of the SAND token will start on Friday August 14th at 1PM UTC.

Based on their trading activity on Binance, users could obtain tickets for the The Sandbox token sale. In total 164.893 tickets were claimed by 23.249 users. There were only 15 thousand winning tickets. Those who didn’t get the chance to buy SAND, will be able to do this when the sale starts later today.

Investors and traders will be able to exchange the SAND token for BNB, BTC, USDT and BUSD. During the sale one SAND token was worth 0.008333 US dollar. Per lottery ticket investors could buy a maximum of 200 dollars of SAND, which equals 24 thousand tokens.

The token has a total supply of 3 billion and can also be earned through in-game activities. When The Sandbox launches, hopefully by the end of this year, users will be able to use to token for all kinds of in-world purchases. They can play games, buy items, order actual products through in-game web shops and so on.

Besides the SAND token, The Sandbox has more investment opportunities. Gamers, designers, development studios, shop owners and other people can be a landowner inside The Sandbox. The first round of the final land pre-sale happened earlier this month. When the next round will happen, is not yet known. However, game designers and creatives can register for future land sales here.

What is The Sandbox?

The Sandbox is one of the blockchain-powered virtual worlds currently in development. The beta test will launch later this year, but before that time there will be one more pre-sale. During this pre-sale gamers, businesses and investors can buy virtual land with a discount. You can register now to make sure you’re not missing out.

The virtual world of The Sandbox consists out of lands, and voxels fill up each of those lands. Visually it will remind many gamers of Minecraft, as both games have this Lego-inspired look to them. However, players are able to buy virtual land and implement any form of monetization. These virtual lands can become mini-games, adventures, virtual shops, extensions of actual webshops, a space for social gatherings, and so on.

TSB Gaming is providing free tools for developers, gamers and content creators. Creators can use VoxEdit to make objects. In addition the Game Maker allows users to create interactivity on their virtual land. TSB Gaming will also create a meta gaming experience. Players can for example do daily quests or weekly quests for their guild.
